Try

select * from global_name_at_fnd_remote.domain.com;

where global name is domain.com

I had a similar problem. Not sure why. Took me couple of hours to get it working.

Some one mentioned I do not have an alias that can go from fnd_remote to fnd_remote.domain.com.

Changing the command as above fixed the problem.
