Joe,
OH, need to dust this one off. Try =
http://www.emc.com/solutions/oracle/index.jsp. It's a list of EMC and =
Oracle stuff, published by EMC of course. At any rate, I believe that =
what you really need to worry about is how the OS on the server presents =
the disk farm to Oracle. As I understand it, you can use Oracle's disk =
management libraries & just hand it a huge mount point, or you can have =
all the mount points you want & manage them yourself. Personally I'll =
stay with the latter. Makes life easier when dealing with the =
backup/recovery tape managers.

Subject: EMC & Oracle 10g
Good Morning,
I am examining SAN technology and am wondering if EMC's SAN solutions are condusive to being used with 10g's storage management features?
Can EMC just hand off the disk, not encapsulated, for Oracle to manage?
Any insight or pointers to documents is greatly apprecitated.
Thank you,
