Worse is definitely here. We have been mirroring RAID-5 (OS level =
mirroring
to EMC Raid-S configuration boxes) for the last three years. The =
future
disk plan for the new disk hardware is to continue to do the same.
I do not even want to get into why?

Also you'll find much useful information about disk systems on=20
www.baarf.com . Currently, I get 2-3 BAARF Party membership =
applications=20
a day. The message is the same everywhere: RAID-5 is being implemented=20
everywhere. This will be the Decade of RAID-5 or worse.
The articles on www.baarf.com should contain everything you'll ever =
need=20
to know about RAID levels. When you then know enough it will be ignored =
by the people that spend the money. In general, going through such a=20 process requires more vodka.
