how are youtrying to do the import.

are the tables prebuilt or are you building them with the import.

Hey gang...any suggestions on how to speed up an import?
I am trying to import to a new SAP database server. Oracle 9.2.0.5 on HP-UX11i. There appears to be a lot of I/O activity, but overall I get a feeling of the system dragging.
Some DB params are:
db_cache_size =3D 2147483648
log_buffer =3D 2097152
sort_area_retained_size =3D 0 sort_area_size =3D 5242880 undo_management =3D AUTO
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike
