Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Raid 50
Yuo have certainly alerted me that my suspicions might be correct, but as
of yet I still don't have a grasp on the actualy issues. I'm assured here
by those that have been here before me that all is well, but I must admit
when I hear RAID 50, I get concerned.
The IO subsystem is EMC, so the response is...we write small chunks to cache and forget about from there. I'm a big fan of EMC, RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 and I suppose RAID S, but I abhore RAID 5 and have just now today heard the term RAID50.
As a new hire, I'll have to do further research and learn more about the topic before raising concern to managemnet.
