Strangely, no one mentioned - Oracle Backup and Recovery Concepts - By Rama Velupuri, one of my favourite books.
It might have been written during version 7 (or 6??), but a must read for all versions : 8i, 9i, 10g.

I would definitely add Robert Freeman's RMAN book, Jonathan Lewis's
"Practical Oracle 8i"
and Tom Kyte's Effective Oracle By Design. So, my first 3 books would be:
