PHP <-> Oracle scalability

Hi!

Is there any document or pointers on how to build a scalable PHP application which uses Oracle?
I mean how to configure PHPs connection pooling mechanisms, statement preparation and various tuning tricks etc..

If you have any advice, please let me know.
