We are looking into getting some of the financial applications software at our location. There is a list of software a mile long that touts the "financial application" badge. If we choose one lesser than the big 3 will I become less "high function" a DBA. If we choose one of the big 3 am I able to get the pay increase that is compensatory to working on a "high function" application? Maybe the legal mumbo-jumbo will help the IT salaries after all.

Judge: So, "Oracle" is a database, right? What's a database?

(Much like I sound when speaking on federal legal matters, I'm sure!)
