Boivin,
OAS Name -> Version
Oracle Application Server 10g -> 9.0.4
Oracle9i Application Server Release 2 -> 9.0.2, 9.0.3
Oracle9i Application Server Release 1 -> 1.0.2.2.x
Which version of OAS you are telling about?
If AS10g, then there are many possible installations types of
installations:
- Stand along OC4J
In any configuration you can install all staff on the one node, then you need to licence only one host (actually CPU-s on this soft). Oracle recommends to install infrastructure on the different host then application tier, then you need to licence both sites. How many host your are planning to use?

Two tiers for the middle tier, iAS 1.0.2.2. used to have one.
I have to ask...
Does that mean Oracle wants two AS10g licenses for each iAS 1.0.2.2 installation?
(BTW -- I tried to go to the AS10g New Features for Admins course here in Canada, it was canceled for lack of students... Sigh.)
