Ok, you caught me in somewhat of a touchy mood after a day of arguing against 100+ GB mount points (in our environment, unfortunately, backups are a single thread per mount point (new issue altogether)), and arguing against using 'select *' in a view.
Anyway, I was mostly taking exception to the "work smarter" part when I often have to fight to be allowed to do that. I apologize for being snappy and welcome your comments offline.
