Not necessarily true. Depending on how your domains are configured, faults in a domain can be propagated to other domains that are physically "near" the failed boards. There's a way to make sure that they're not, but you lose some of the flexibility you expect from a system with logical partitioning like that. I wish I had a reference, but if you dig through the e15k reference docs, they explain how you have to set up your domains.
