Is the ComputerWorld data based on self-reports?

If it is, the data may be inflated.

Has anyone seen the salary data in the MCP Mag? I haven't checked them in the last few years but they used to give me a good laugh.

Why would Robert HAlf publish this sort of info? I don't think it for the benefit of us, but rather for their benefit. I imgine they are tryign to set price points so that they can then bill at those rates as the median rates.

I think this is a good idea. I would be willing to provide my numbers if it was anonymous or 100% confidential.
