You might also look at the following book, which really
covers only DML, not DDL:

We're thinking of producing a similarly sized book targeted at just Oracle, into which we could squeeze, we hope, a fair bit of DDL. Getting *all* of SQL into such a book though, is just not feasible. Oracle's SQL syntax has grown tremendously since the 7.x days.
