Oracle may not be a science in the strictest sense of the word, but, certainly scientific principles can be applied to researching and understanding it's behavior. Oracle is a pretty well-instrumented piece of code. It's usually, (but not always) possible to pretty clearly demonstrate and/or prove how something does or does not work.

Enology? Blasphemy! What's the word for study of scotch and scotch-making? ;-)

Ellisonology? Naw, not going to touch that one.....;-)

Oraclogy? Sounds good to me! ;-)
