  All,

Has anyone seen or heard anything to the effect of being able to use RMAN as a source for establishing a DataGuard site (physical or logical)? All the documentation seems to require a traditional hot/cold backup. While I am sure it is possible to force RMAN into this role, I'm not so sure it is supported (Oracle seems to have a lot of "not supported"s in DataGuard). I haven't seen anything one way or the other on Google or MetaLink or the DataGuard concepts doc. If there is another doc someone can recommend I will be happy to read it.

  Thanks,
