Did you affix a copyright statement to it? That was one lesson I learned from a software vendor I used to work for. Some people will strip the copyright statement off, but most people will leave it attached. Then you can tell the auditor something like "hey this was written by a real expert." Or "hey you guys removed my copyright statement".

We had PWC auditing us a couple years ago. They had some rather vague questions about the DB, so I had to help them define their requirements.
I then wrote a script to supply everything they wanted.
The following year, they were back, but this time they had a script for me to run. Guess which script it was. ;)
My boss wanted them to pay us for using it, as they were sure to be using it elsewhere.
The year after that, the same auditor asked about database access.
To make a long story short, I informed him that I could access any data I wanted, I didn't have to tell him about it, and there was very little he could do about it.
His reply, "But you wouldn't do that, would you?"
Well, no. But the point was I could. Funny response from an auditor.
