Dennis,
We use to have the Oracle pack licenses but dropped them when we
realized that they weren't doing as good a job as the third party
software packages we purchased. If I understand the pricing correctly,
if you use the option in 10g you must license them also.

Someone here recalls a tool called "Oracle Expert". Can anyone answer
the
following questions?
1. Was the OEM tool called Oracle Expert in Oracle 8 renamed Oracle
Tuning
Pack by Oracle9i?
2. Is there anything called "Oracle Expert" bundled with the database
license? I notice at Oracle Store that Oracle Tuning Pack is priced at
$3,000 U.S. per processor.
Also, if you use it, what benefits have you found?
