Linux 32-bit v 64-bit

All those using Linux,

Does anyone have any insights into using 32 v 64 bit linux for a production platform? Generally that has been a question largely resolved by the SAs I have worked with and don't have very strong arguments either way. Anyone aware of any white papers, etc?
