I've found the Solaris/Veritas DBE/AC-stack straight forward to install and configure with RAC, especially if you already are familiar with VCS and VM. No need for Sun Cluster or raw devices since you'll be using Veritas CFS and clusterware. The documentation is accurate and you should not need the pile of Metalink notes to be able to get up and running. It is an expensive toy, but might be an option if you are already running an active/passive VCS cluster, have a Real Application, and are looking to increase availability/scalability.
