This is always a bad advice. Wait for some time, rather then switching to windoze. Problems that you will encounter with windoze are too numerous to count and are related primarily to the stability of the platform itself. For windoze, you need anti-virus protection because your platform is suddenly prone to the common cold, flu, msblast and the other nasty varieties of the internet fauna. Also, none of unix scripts is going to work anymore. Perl/DBI/DBD::Oracle is going to make you suffer until you make it work on windoze platform. You no longer have sendmail, email software is sold separately. Basically, switching from *nix to windoze is like trading a Ferrari for a donkey. Despite the recent popularity of talking donkeys, it still not a good trade.
