Hi!

I just want to confirm something here: a user is connected to my database and inserting data like crazy. Then the archiver gets stuck due to no space left in the archive destination.

What is the "feedback" the user (i.e. the application running the inserts) gets from the database?

Does Oracle just wait until there is space in the archive destination? And so the application just hast to wait?

Or does Oracle give back an error to the application?

This is 9.2 on HP-UX.

Thanks,
Helmut
