I am using data stage with a DBA account. The only reason a user would need
any sort of dba rights is if they are creating a table and then populating
it. If they are just loading data, I can not see why they would need select
on dba_extents.

Anybody using Ascentail datastage tool. A select only user on one schema is wanting to use it and says they need select privileges on dba_extents in order to use the tool for extraction. Boggles my mind why but I'm convinced they have it wrong.
