Do you have a sqlnet.ora file, and if so is SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES=3D(NTS) set?

I have a batch script that has been running for several months but all
of a sudden failed this weekend.
For some reason I can no longer do a sqlplus "system/password as
sysdba". I don't know that anyone has changed anything.
Any idea why this would quit working?
