Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: monitor column usage or index usage?
Jonathan,
Thanks for your information. I'm using 9.2.0.4 E on RHEL3U1, which I didn't remember with my post. I was hoping for some information (just like you provided) to get me going in the right direction.
During a small test, the tables I created and performed DML and SELECT's did not have any values in col_usage$. I was confused, and I did not found much information on col_usage$ to assist my understanding of pertinent and related features. I will verify MONITORING, AUTO, etc., settings and try again.
By 'working' I'm saying basically 'in control' of what I expect to see in my tests. Otherwise, 'not working' is when I'm lost, regardless of results. ;-)
Just wanted to say a quick thanks.
Regards,
Mike Thomas
