Last year, I got to go to IOUG. That was because I was presenting, and
what I got was the time off to go.
This year I hope to go somewhere... I just don't know where or when... or if... budgets still aren't back yet

I think normally we have 1 week of training every year ... Last 2 years I have spent most of it on Hotsos ... Refresher training for new versions is not included in this.

This has become a real problem. All that outsourcing has brought down not only our salaries, but also the benefits. Training was the first thing to go, and I haven't had a day of training, paid for by the employer, ever since 2002, when I was sent to the useless "Introduction to Oracle*Net 8i" training, just to fill the quota of the attendees. Unfortunately, it looks like the outsourcing is going to continue, and that is a darned shame and will, probably, hit me hard financially in the incoming years. From this perspective, EU starts looking better and better. Mogens, do you need an experienced DBA on that long ship of yours?
