Hi, I'm not an expert =) but try connecting as INTERNAL if you want to
restart the instance, if it still
you can't connect change your password with ORAPWD.

Hi experts,
I have got a problem. The problem is that when I connect to my
database (8.1.6) from sys
like this
svrmgrl> connect sys/syspassword_at_test
I get connected.
But when i try to connect as sysdba like this
svrmgrl> connect sys/syspassword_at_test as sysdba
I get the following error.
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
Please help me, as I have to restart the instance urgently.
Thanks
regards,
Fahd
