Oracle stated that "Windows version of sqlplus namely sqlplusw.exe" will be de-supported not the command like version (i.e. sqlplus.exe)

which paper are you referring to?
AFAIK there have never been plans to desupport SQL*Plus ...

Several months ago, I saw ORACLE paper said SQLPLUS will NOT support on 10g. Last week, I installed ORACLE 10g client and found SQLPLUS still there.
Does ORACLE change mind?
