We are currently runing 6i on 9ir2, and we upgraded from 8.17 to 9i, so = both work with developer 6i. I think that the issue that you are having = is one of where your tnsnames is located. Did you set a TNS_ADMIN = variable? What kinds of errors are you getting?

Hope this helps

Luis

I plan to make ORACLE Developer 6i work with ORACLE 9ir2 or 8.1.7 client, but NOT successful. The way I am doing are:

  1. install 9ir2 client on Win2000 include sql*net and TCP/IP protocol.
  2. install Forms 6i and requirement support files, but NOT include NET8 and TCP/IP.
  3. double click "Form builder" and get "nl80.dll" NOT found.

I check "NL80.DLL", it include in Developer 6i SQL*NET module.

Does there has way to make Developer 6i work with 8i or 9ir2 client?

Thanks.=20
