Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> AW: Urgent: db file sequential read - wait
I checked alert and traces, but nothing showed.
I'm going home now, I'm fed up for today.
... to be continued tomorrow, thanks for the help so far, Stefan

Is everything OK with your disk? If the process is waiting for the RDBMS to
read
an index block, you might have a problem with your HW (controllers,
software,
device being touched by an angel....). Did you take a look into the system
log?
The "dmesg" command should tell you if everything is OK.
