Joe,

I installed the db on a P233 with 168 MB RAM. Is that what you are installing or are you installing the full grid?

Has anyone been able to force the installer to bypass the memory check on
linux. laptop only has 512M, and i'm not in position to purchase a new
one so i can put 1G of ram in it.

i'm pretty sure it reads /proc/meminfo.

any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks, joe
