For Oracle Replication , i recommend "Distributed Systems" By Charles Dye.
Covers Ver 7.x thru 8.x but if you are looking for concepts , why and
how the
dbms packages are run , interlinked it is the book. I have not read the book
by Freeman (Rampant) but i am willing to put my two cents on this book.
