Never do anything just because a wizard recommends it to you..
Even when some alive "wizard" recommends you something you should ask for verified justification.
Tanel.
I have global indexes on my one partitioned table. I tried local indexes and the application ran like a snail so we switched back and everything is ok again. I started with global because that was the default when I partitioned the table, years ago and switched because OEM index tuning wizard suggested it. Bad idea!

Subject: Local vs. Global Indexes
I pretty much only use local indexes. Do any of you use global indexes on partitioned tables and why?
