Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" I have since found out the guy who originally quoted me about the link specs got his numbers wrong so life will be better, we actually have a 1GB Ethernet on a dedicated fibre so bandwidth shouldn't be an issue.

Whatever method you go do, that 1Mb thingy in the middle might an issue 
:-)

I'd have a play with each of the options (sqlldr, export) and see which 
files come out best with
maximal compression.  If either alternative comes out with a compressed 
file that still won't
travel nicely across the link...then its carrier pigeon time with a little 
tape strapped to its
wing.
