Installing Jserver will certainly not hurt you. You could ask the question "Do we *need* it to be installed? I would guess that your 7.3.4 application does not need Jserver to be installed, so why do it? At the worst, installing it will take up additional room in the system tablespace. There will be no other impact on the system otherwise.
