Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Oracle 9 and Solaris 32/64 bit
It is 64 bit OS.
Try "-b" option.
The -b option prints the number of bits in the address space of the corresponding native applications environment:
% echo "Welcome to "`isainfo -b`"-bit Solaris" Welcome to 64-bit Solaris
Thanks,
Nikhil

Are there any implications for version of Oracle and patches that is installed on a Solris box that returns the following values. I believe this means the OS is 64 bit?
isainfo -v
64-bit sparcv9 applications
32-bit sparc applications
uname -a
SunOS SUN1 5.8 Generic_108528-17 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
