SQL * PLUS Worksheet

Dear ALL

Can SQL*PLUS Worksheet work on Oracle Enterprise Manager Console standalone ? Or I need to login into oracle management server ?

I am not able to do a simple select query from the sqlplus worksheet. Instead i can use scratchpad.
