Joe,
Please share your 9i RAC and 10g grid experiences. I read last night that Amazon is migrating their 14 TB data warehouse to Oracle RAC on Linux this year. They claim a 25% reduction in costs by moving from Sun Solaris and hardware to HP Proliant servers.

Subject: 10g new features

I'm in-between assignments and i'll be working on the new features series for 10g just like for 9i. But like the 9i series, i'm not one to repeat what the docs say w/o first testing the concept and giving you the "real deal".

that being said, as soon as i can get 10g downloaded and installed on linux, i'll begin the "testing of new features".

any special requests, let me know.

i'm also in middle of building the 9i rac lab and eventually will attempt the 10g grid thing(whatever that means).

joe
