Yup, I didn't want to get too much in details about different LRU lists, otherwise the post would have got too long.

Are you saying that a freeable chunk can become recreatable? The recr and freeable chunks have different headers in structure and size AFAIK? Or did you mean that one can explicitly free a recreatable chunk if needed?

Btw, does Oracle really have two different physical lists for transient and recurrent unpinned recreatable chunks or is there just one, with two, transient and recurrent, ends?
