Re: Job question

I can answer that for you, as I had a discussion with them 2+ years ago.

2 reasons:

• They don't pay nearly enough for a senior DBA. The job requirement is really for a junior, and the pay is probably OK for that position.
• They lost 50% of their business last year, and unless they do something innovative, or get really lucky, they won't recover from it.

The person they are replacing is a former co-worker: he retired and is now in Hawaii. :)
