A few weeks ago I was told by an Oracle DBA, don't remember his name, might be a member of the List, that he was fighting huge 72GB disks and systems damagement not understanding why you would have one disk per online redologfile. He hoarded diskspace by creating tablespaces of 71,5 GB, making them read-only and excluded them from backup. The rest was for one redolog file. He's not fired yet, AFAIK.
What else is new?
