Initalization files, etc

Hello.

I'am a newbie in Oracle, so I have some questions to experts :)

1. What difference between SPFILE and PFILE?
2. Where by default Oracle search these files when instance starts?
3. Where oracle searches datafiles by default?
4. Sorry for lame questions :(

Oracle 9.2.0.4, win2k.
