Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if this previously undocumented procedure and its associates for outputting timestamp etc were available on Oracle 7. I have searched and could not find any indications soundly for or against this. I do not have access to 7.3.4 at present to check myself.
I need to write a one off piece of code for version 7.3.4 that needs to be in pl/sql and cannot use a table or utl_file for output, pipes are a possibility but i would prefer to use something simpler. I cannot use dbms_output because of the million byte boundary (unless anyone knows how to get it to output more than one million bytes?) so I thought of kdswrt as a possible simple alternative. There could be an issue with trace file size though.
thanks,
kind regards
Pete
