Re: anyone have opinions on the future of the 'grid'?

So, what exactly is the difference between a grid and RAC/OPS? The associations that I get when somebody mentions the word "grid" are I-95 in Norwalk/Stamford area around 8:30 AM or LIE at the approximately the same time. That can be used to demonstrate gridlock computing.
