Thanks for your reply. The Oracle security step-by-step is available online  from SANS but only as departmental licenses and unlimited licenses at present. The code from the book is available on my website http://www.petefinnigan.com - look under the page about the book. Also I have recently put together a s.c.o.r.e document for SANS on Oracle security which should be published soon on their website and be available free. This is in a similar vein to the other s.c.o.r.e checklist documents on their site. The center for internet security are also working on an Oracle benchmark and tool which should be out soon again i believe for free.
