Could it be that the table has a trigger and it's trying to insert into
another table that does not exist?
Can you read from the table?

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
1* select count(*) from user_tables where table_name='EMPLOYEE_ROLE' SQL> / COUNT(*)
1
SQL> CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES; CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES *
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
Any ideas?
