Could it be that the table has a trigger and it's trying to insert into another table that does not exist?

Can you read from the table?

SQL> CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES; CREATE TABLE EMPLOYEE_ROLE AS SELECT * FROM USER_TABLES *

ERROR at line 1:

ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

Any ideas?
