All our production databases stayed up ... people lost connection to one building, but all servers in RAC stayed up including network switches etc in the data centers.

Any listers (when you have time) who were effected the Great Blackout of 2003 please share your experiences. UPS, Y2K backup generators fired up, scramble to shutdown, communication issues etc... It would be good to hear how folks handled the situation for future reference.
