RE: Any German here ? Character set

When I studied German for two years in college (I've forgotten it all now), I kept thinking that the same person who invented all the goofy spelling in English (remember the joke about "ghoti" being pronounced "fish"?)**, also invented German grammar. No offense to anyone is intended.
