RE: 8.1.7.4 interim patch management strategy

Our strategy is to not apply them and migrate to 9iR2 instead. At least that's the plan for now, until we find out something won't work with 9i. It's probably cheaper to do in the long run, and it'll be supported thru 2005, unlike 8.1.7, which "expires" at the end of this year.
