The 8.0.6 client works just fine with 8.1.7 databases. Why do you want to "make" developer 6i use 8.1.7?

ORACLE Developer 6i come with ORACLE 8.0.6 client sql*net. Does their has way to make Developer 6i use ORACLE 8i (8.1.7) sql*net or NOT?
