A word to the Wise or the Paranoid -- IO subsystems do not enjoy having
their power cord knocked loose while the server's up and running, and Oracle
likes it even less. An important lesson in splitting up control files
between IO controllers/subsystems/power/etc.
When we do get our SAN, I'm still keeping a control file "local". Maybe a redolog set, too...
It's now 5:00 AM tomorrow, so I go sleepies.
